At our November meeting, our youth board presented two incredible organizations:
Saving Mothers, an organization of doctors and allied professionals that work with governments and local organizations to improve maternal health care in limited-resource settings. They customize programming to the specific needs of communities and bring biomedical technologies where they are most needed.
Sundara, an NGO that provides mentorship, seed funding and resources to female entrepreneurs living in low to middle income countries. They empower impactful entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses that make a lasting impact in their communities. As well, Sundara provides short term support for urgent needs in underserved communities and to refugees.
When we counted up the votes, Sundara was the big winner, and we raised $1430.00 to benefit this important work!
