Honoring Moms at Tea & Advocacy Event

We had a beautiful time at our third annual Tea and Advocacy fundraiser. Women and their daughters enjoyed sweet bites and hot or cold tea on a beautiful spring afternoon.

In honor of Mother’s Day, our youth board presented two charities that support moms: New Moms: an organization that provides housing, paid job training, coaching for college success, and family support for young moms and their children, and Every Mother Counts which seeks to ensure that the maternal health journey before, during, and after childbirth is safe, respectful, and equitable for everyone, everywhere.

Both groups did a great job presenting, and the vote was close!

In the end, New Moms was the favorite, and our funds raised will all go to support that work.
